What? Kunlun Mountain? Isn't that the Three Pure Ones' abode? There shouldn't be anyone else residing at Kunlun Mountain regularly.
So, he's one of the Three Pure Ones?
In depictions of the Three Pure Ones, Laozi appears as an old man, Yuanshi Tianzun as middle-aged, and only Lingbao Tianzun as a young man.
No mistake about it, he must be Lingbao Tianzun, also known as Tongtian. He's the golden thigh Yumei has admired since she arrived in the Primordial Era!
Yumei couldn't care less about him recently asking her to leave. She excitedly turned her head and ran over in a few steps. "I still want to follow you!"
"Why?"
Why? How should she answer that? Could she really tell him she's admired him for a long time and wanted to cling to his thigh? Or maybe be more straightforward and say, "I want to sleep with you"?
She'd probably be slapped to death in response!
"Because... because I have nowhere else to go. I don't have family or friends; I only know you." Yumei continued feigning helplessness, even though she knew it wouldn't work very well. At the moment, she felt like a fifteen or sixteen-year-old child—what could she do?
"Among the creatures of the Primordial Era, who has family?" His voice remained calm and unruffled as he pointed out the flaw in Yumei's words.
"Who says that? Those who share the same origin or those with close ties can be considered family." He had two brothers himself; he should understand not having family is normal. Sometimes you don't realize how good you have it until you lose it!
"I need to cultivate; I can't take you with me. You'll be a distraction." While Yumei's argument made sense, it couldn't sway his decision.
But Yumei was fluffy, right? According to the novels she had read, Tongtian had a thing for fluffy creatures. If she transformed into a cute and fluffy little animal and snuggled into his embrace, she wanted to see if he could resist!
Yumei was at a loss; even feigning helplessness and cuteness couldn't sway the great figure's decision. So, she decided to be brave and grabbed onto his sleeve, pouting and squatting with a pitiful expression. She even wiggled a bit.
"Just take me with you. I will never cause you any trouble. I will listen to you in everything! I can wash clothes and cook, and I can also sing and dance. I'm very obedient~" This may be the result of these hundreds of years of companionship. Yumei had the courage to feel that he would not hurt her.
The great figure frowned slightly, seemingly never having been pestered like this before. "Let go."
Yumei clung to his robe even tighter and looked up at him with pleading eyes. Although she had previously entertained thoughts of flirting with him, she realized that she was not on the same level as him at the moment. She was just a cute teenager—what could she do? So, for now, she had to establish an emotional connection first. When she matured, she would be more direct.
After a moment, the great figure seemed to relent again. "You can follow me until I return to Kunlun Mountain."
"Yes, thank you, sir!" Yumei sprang up from the ground with joy.
"Sir is…" Yumei hesitated, unsure how to address him. She also wasn't entirely sure that he had comprehended the term "great figure."[*]
"Uh... it means someone very powerful, similar to an adept." Yumei chuckled softly and explained to him.
The great figure nodded, saying nothing more. Yumei wasn't discouraged; this was truly Tongtian! One of the Three Pure Ones! Being able to follow him was a tremendous stroke of luck. If she had met his second brother, the noble Yuanshi Tianzun, who despised all beings born from eggs and water, she probably wouldn't even dare to raise her head in his presence.
